By submitting your film you are agreeing to be bound by
the Festival Rules and Regulations
FESTIVAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
- By submitting your film to the festival you are agreeing to be bound by the festival Rules and Regulations.
- Fees must be made payable to The Waterford Film festival. We accept cash, Irish cheque, Irish money orders or international bankers draft. The festival will not accept international cheques.
- During the selection process filmmakers must send their film on one of the following formats: Dvd, (PAL) QuickTime file wmv or real player file on a CD ROM (No NTSC)
- The filmmaker will give the Waterford Film Festival permission to use materials form their film to promote the festival whether it's a clip, still image, or poster etc.
- COPYRIGHT:
Filmmaker is responsible for securing all copyright clearances and music rights.
- Due to high administrative and shipping costs, submission videos and materials will not be returned.
- All Films must reach the festival by September 1st. We will accept films if the postmark is September 1st.. No films will be accepted after this date.
- SELECTION: All submissions are screened and evaluated by WFF Preview and Selection Committees appointed by the Festival Director. Their reports and decisions are final and confidential.
- NOTIFICATION:
All accepted entrants will be notified by September 15th via e-mail. Filmmakers whose films are not selected to screen at the WFF will be notified by the end of September.
PREVIEW COPIES WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
- ACCEPTANCE:
Submitting a film to the WFF will be considered an approval of the film's copyright holder in accordance with the terms of these Regulations.
ONCE A FILM HAS BEEN SELECTED THE FILM CANNOT BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE FESTIVAL PROGRAMME.
PLEASE NOTE: While we make every effort to follow screening times as printed in the festival program guide, WFF cannot be held accountable for changes to the schedule after festival line-up is announced.
- If your film is selected we may ask for a further copy of your film on either one of the following formats: DVD, Beta, Digi Beta or QuickTime- wmv file or real player formats.
NOTE: FILMS THAT ARE SCREENED ON A BETA FORMAT WILL BE RETURNED TO THE FILMMAKER EITHER AFTER THE FESTIVAL SCREENING OR WILL BE POSTED BACK.

The fees are: Feature Films: EUR 25.00, Short Film: EUR 10.00, Student Films: EUR 7.50
Student must send a photocopy of their college id or letter from their college stating they are attending the college.
