By submitting your film you are agreeing to be bound by the Festival Rules and Regulations

Short Film Entries - Fiction - Non Fiction - Animation

• The Waterford Film Festival will accept entries all genres of film under 40 mins.
• Films must be sent on Dvd (Pal) QuickTime -CD ROM.
• Filmmakers worldwide can submit their work.
• Foreign language films must be dubbed in English or have English subtitles.
• Films must be produced between 2003-2008.
• They do not have to be premiers
• The Short category is broken into two sub sections- Best 1st Short Film and Best Short Film.
• For the Best 1st Short Film, it can be either the writer, director or producer's first short film and this can be entered into the Best Short category.
• We also accept animation films for both these categories.

Short Documentaries

• The Waterford Film Festival will accept entries all genres of film under 30 mins.
• Films must be sent on Dvd (Pal) QuickTime, wmv or real player on a CD-Rom.
• Filmmakers worldwide can submit their work.
• Foreign language films must be dubbed in English or have English subtitles.
• Films must be produced between 2003-2008.
• They do not have to be premiers.

Feature Films and Feature Documentaries

• The Waterford Film Festival accepts entries form all genres of film over 40 mins.
• Filmmakers worldwide can submit their work.
• Foreign language films must be dubbed in English or have English subtitles.
• Films must be produced between 2003-2008.
• They do not have to be premiers.
